Today’s quote purportedly comes from Benjamin Franklin.
“Wish not so much to live long as to live well.”
We all know what living long is. Its measured chronologically in years. But what is living well?

I can think of two interpretations of this. Did Ben intend to mean “living well”as having the best of food and wine and earthly comforts? Basically the opposite of living in poverty.
I prefer to think of the alternate meaning. Living well meaning living without debilitating physical or mental illness. I want to live this kind of well, rather than wishing for a longer life.
What about you? Do you know what Benjamin Franklin meant?
