Pokémon TCG Pocket offers an exciting way for players to enhance their collections through booster packs, but not all cards are available this way. Special cards, known as Promo cards, are a little trickier to obtain, often requiring players to engage with unique methods beyond standard booster packs. If you're looking to expand your collection with some of these elusive cards, here's everything you need to know.

Promo Cards from the Shop

Several Promo cards can be directly purchased from the Shop, allowing players to grab essential Trainer cards and more. Each card costs a specific amount of Shop Tokens or, in the case of Pikachu, a Premium Ticket:

  • Potion (Promo-A 1 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • X Speed (Promo-A 2 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • Hand Scope (Promo-A 3 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • Pokédex (Promo-A 4 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • Poké Ball (Promo-A 5 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • Red Card (Promo-A 6 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • Professor’s Research (Promo-A 7 / P-A) – Available for 2 Shop Tokens
  • Pikachu (Promo-A 9 / P-A) – Available for 1 Premium Ticket (with Premium Pass)

However, not all Promo cards are easy to find. Promo-A 8 is currently unavailable, leaving players with a mix of options in the Shop.

Promo Cards from Wonder Pick Events

Occasionally, special events unlock additional Promo cards that can be obtained through Wonder Picks. These limited-time events can offer a fantastic opportunity to snag unique cards without spending in-game currency:

  • Chansey (Promo-A 11 / P-A) – Available through Wonder Picks, free of charge, until November 14, 2024
  • Meowth (Promo-A 12 / P-A) – Available through Wonder Picks, free of charge, until November 14, 2024

These cards are available for a limited time, so make sure to take advantage of the event before it ends.

Promo Cards from the Lapras EX Drop Event

Another way to collect rare Promo cards is through special events like the Lapras EX Drop event. Players can win Promo cards by participating in TCG battles and securing victories during the event period. These cards are randomly gifted, adding an extra layer of excitement to each battle:

  • Butterfree (Promo-A 13 / P-A)
  • Lapras EX (Promo-A 14 / P-A)
  • Pikachu (Promo-A 15 / P-A)
  • Clefairy (Promo-A 16 / P-A)
  • Mankey (Promo-A 17 / P-A)

The Lapras EX Drop event runs until November 17, 2024, so there’s plenty of time to collect these cards through battle wins.

In addition to the cards currently available, several promo cards have yet to be released. While details are scarce, fans of the game are eagerly awaiting their eventual arrival. These include iconic Pokémon like Mewtwo, Venusaur, and Greninja:
