Since 2001, the Spanish Studies Abroad (SSA) provides scholarships to students studying in Spain, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Argentina. They aim to provide financial help to these international students, and they select their recipients through an essay writing contest that promotes creativity and uniqueness.
This Spain scholarship has two kinds, and you can only apply to one type. The first one is the merit-based scholarship, and this is awarded to students who show outstanding dedication to learning the Spanish language. On the other hand, the diversity-based scholarship is given to students who have a diverse background.
Your essay will be the basis for this scholarship in Spain. The committee will require you a 400 to 500-word essay stating your life story why do you want to learn the Spanish language or a unique chapter in your life. Additional requirements are your grade point average ranging from 3.0 to 3.5.
