"It's 11 pm," Rex replied, walking over to her. "You can sleep over if you want. It's already late." Mercy nodded, still trying to shake off the sleep. "Yeah, that sounds good. Thanks, Rex." "You're welcome, you know, you can sleep in my bed. I'll take the couch." He said. Mercy smiled and shook her head. "No, I don't want to kick you out of your bed." Rex insisted, "It's okay, really. I don't mind." But Mercy was firm. "I won't be able to rest if I know you're sleeping on the couch. The only way I can be at peace is if we both sleep in the bed." Rex raised an eyebrow, surprised by her suggestion. "Both of us? In the bed?" Mercy nodded, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Yes, why not? It's a big bed. We can both fit comfortably.
